Osa Healthcare Recruitment LTD understands its obligations and is committed to preventing slavery and human trafficking both internally and in all the other companies it works for and/or alongside. Osa Healthcare Recruitment and the companies it works for/with adhere to all government legislations including the Modern Slavery Act 2015.
Osa Healthcare Recruitments staff are all well informed of the different forms of Modern Slavery including the trafficking of people, forced labour, servitude and slavery, all of which have in common the deprivation of a person’s liberty by another in order to exploit them for personal or commercial gain. They also understand the risks, particularly as a Health & Social Care recruitment company, of being targeted by traffickers and unlicensed gangmasters. Recruiting staff undergo eLearning training on Modern Slavery and human trafficking. Osas processes and training ensure all staff are alert to the warning signs of exploitation and the follow strict procedures are followed in any cases of concern.
Osa Healthcare Recruitment ensure that all staff employed by themselves to work for the company, on behalf of the company or as an agency staff member, as well as those placed by Osa into the employment of another company, have undergone strict compliance checks, including identity and right to work checks.
Osa Healthcare Recruitment are committed to ensuring that their own staff as well as those it places into employment or agency work have the right to
- be free to choose to work for their employer and to leave the company upon reasonable notice.
- be provided with a clear contract of employment, which complies with local legislation.
- be treated in a fair and equal manner and with dignity and respect.
- Receive wages and benefits in line with government legislation and their agreed contract.
- Not be expected to work hours that go against government legislation for their age and the type of work they are doing.

Osa works closely with the companies it recruits for the ensure they continue to follow legislation and treat staff fairly.
The prevention, detection and reporting of modern slavery is the responsibility of everyone working for Osa Healthcare Recruitment LTD. All persons are required to avoid any activity that might lead to, or suggest, a breach of the law or a violation of human rights. All employees are actively encouraged to report any suspicious activity or circumstances to the Modern Slavery Helpline on 0800 0121 0700 or the police on 101. In an emergency always call 999.
